On Tuesday, a mobile phone of a woman was stolen by a teenager.The woman who lost her mobile is herself accused of stealing a money purse from the shirt pocket of the temple clerk. The purse was stolen from the office room of the temple superintendent.

Three days ago, a hand bag of the temple priest was stolen by a youth. The CCTV footage, however, was not clear. There were no instances of the Devasthanam authorities lodging a report with the police over the thefts taking place there.
Besides the jewellery, there are hundis placed at very minor temple in the pilgrimage centre.

Devotees feel that it was high-time executive officer of the temple Chandaka Dorababu to come out of his complacency and take remedial measures.
