Vijayawada: Minister for Panchyat Raj and Rural Development, Information Technology Nara Lokesh assured that he would try to construct double line bridge on Ryvas Canal at Ramavarappadu of Vijayawada rural mandal in Krishna district.
Lokesh said that the state government would develop navigation system in Ryvas Canal and construct double line bridge useful for navigation.Gannavaram MLA Dr Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan met him when he paid a visit to Ramavarappadu near Vijayawada to attend a private function on Tuesday.
On the occasion, MLA Vamsi, Vijayawada Rural Mandal Parishad Vice-president Jeetham Srinivasa Rao, TDP mandal president Kolla Anand and other welcomed Lokesh.MLA Vamsi asked about the construction double line bridge on Ryvas Canal at Ramavarappadu which is estimated at Rs 20 crore.
Later, Lokesh said that he would take the issue to the departments concerned. Construction of bridge would be useful for navigation, he added. Ramavarappadu Bridge would be useful for nearly one lakh people who are living on Ryvas, Eluru Canal Bunds, he added.
Vijayawada Market Committee Director Katuri Srinivasa Rao, TDP leaders S Srinivasa Rao and others met Lokesh.
