Tirupati: Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy has opened a Facebook account ‘Save Democracy’ to start online agitation on turncoats and invited all people to respond on democratic values, unconstitutional matters and others.
He opened the FB account while speaking to the media in Tirupati on Thursday, and alleged that the government is resorting to unconstitutional activities by making turncoats as ministers. As a constitutional head in the State the Governor has to protect the Constitution but he was also supporting unconstitutional decisions of the government, he alleged.
The Speaker is also not protecting the Constitution, he added.It is in this backdrop, he thought it pertinent to start an online agitation to save democracy. He appealed to the supporters of democracy to come forward in a big way and express their feelings to save democracy cutting across party lines. Everyone should condemn the biased attitude of the government.
He asked the CM to let the four ministers resign and conduct fresh elections to see if anyone can win or even get their deposits.
