Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, SP Yesubabu also announced that the district administration would introduce Vaaradhi, a platform for the redressal of issues of the police personnel, in the district. With Vaaradhi, the SP said that the personnel need not visit the district police office with demands,
but send them to DPO through the new message system. After registering the grievance, the DPO would respond and reply to the officer concerned with a solution within seven days, said Yesu Babu.
He also told the officials to ensure the prevention of ragging in the colleges within their jurisdiction. He asked the Circle-Inspectors of Police and Sub-Inspectors to keep a strict vigil at the colleges and explain the evil effects of ragging to the students by holding meetings at various colleges.
