Antya Pushkarams to River Krishna begin

Atmakur (Kurnool): The 12-day Antya Pushkarams to River Krishna commenced here on Thursday with Vedic scholar Telakapalli Raghurama Sarma commencing various rituals on the banks of River Krishna at Sangameshwaram, a pilgrimage centre on the banks of the confluence of seven rivers.

He performed Ganesh puja signifying commencement of Antya Pushkarams. At the Sangameshwara temple here, he performed Abhishekam to Siva Linga made of neem wood.

He performed Varuna Yagam at the temple Yagashala. With the conclusion of Antya Pushkarams on September 11, pushkarams to River Krishna would conclude. Pushkarams to River Kaveri will commence from September 12 as
