Rather, they press keys to play the interactive modules.At a time when the digitisation of schools is sweeping the education sector, a major role is being played by the five-year-old company, Rex Animations, based in Vizag, to bring out the digital educational content through leading publications in Andhra Pradesh.

“The schools are going beyond books these days. They want their students to be benefitted from learning through new technologies,” says Mohammad Raheem, co-founder of Rex Animations, while interacting with The Hans India here on Thursday.

The firm took off with one client in 2012, and now it isproducing animated content for big names in school books publishing industry ."Apart from bringing out syllabus books, the publishers want to add on fun with interactive e-Learning kits for children," shares another co-founder V Kiran Kumar and adding that most of the schools are keen to go for digital class room teaching, along with conventional methods.

“Our multimedia module lessons segmented into various components such as student slides and teacher instruction that could be played on desktops and laptops,” he said.

“We also have come up with an app to make the learning exciting through smart phones. Students can access this content from any device by simply downloading an application. To make the students engage with lessons images, video, text and questions are included,” explains Raheem.

“As children are hyper-active, the colourful visual modules attract the young minds and improve their learning. Moreover, the voice over for each lesson makes it lively for the kids,” says aspiring teacher D Devi, who is attached with Rex Animation.
