Chittoor--Tirupati: Governor of Telugu states EL Narasimhan said that he prayed Lord Varasiddi Vinaya Swamy, Kanipakam temple, for the blessings of peace, prosperity and wealthy growth of Telugu-speaking states. He stressed that there was dire need for development of two states with mutual coordination and cooperation.

The Governor visited Kanipakam Temple on Thursday along with his wife and offered prayers to the Lord. Temple Executive Officer K Purchandra Rao, Chittoor ASP Sailaja and DSP Ramkumar have welcomed the Governor with temple honours.

Temple purohits and pundits have accorded Purnakumbha Swagatham to the Governor. EO presented silk clothes and Prasadams to the Governor in sanctum and sanctorum and explained the significance of temple. He also briefed the Governor over the ongoing Brahmostvams at the temple.

Speaking to media, the Governor said Kanipakam temple is one of ancient temple in the country where the devotees used to visit the temple with great belief. He complemented the temple authorities for developing temple in all respects. He felt that no devotee should be deprived of minimum facilities.

In Tirupati, the Governor offered prayers to the Lord Venkateswara along with his wife Vimala Narasimhan on Thursday. He said, "I had a glorious darshan of Lord Venkateswara which is beyond description. I congratulate TTD authorities for their efforts in providing darshan to all the pilgrims and continuing the legacy without any deviation. I prayed the Lord to bless all of us with good health and happiness".
