The company has also achieved highest turnover of Rs 629 crore

Visakhapatnam: The 65th annual general meeting of the state-owned Hindustan Shipyard Limited was held on Thursday. During the meeting, Chairman and Managing Director of HSL Rear Admiral LV Sarat Babu highlighted the achievements of the company and stated that after almost three decades, the company has posted an operational profit of Rs 37.49 crore. The company has also achieved highest turnover of Rs 629 crore since inception and posted a net profit of Rs 53.77 crore.

The company’s focused efforts for improvement in productivity, strict austerity measures have resulted in highest turnover and net profit, the CMD added. Nominated high value orders for fleet support ships and special operation vehicles would materialise in near future, Sarat Babu said and also highlighted various welfare measures taken up by the company for its employees to boost their morale.
