The doctors advised him that the kidney has been damaged and it has to be removed for his survival. He was depressed and told his wife D Usharani. She in turn called her relatives living in Parvathipuram and told them about what the doctors had suggested.

Presuming it to be a trap for taking out kidney for commercial purpose, the patients relatives Madhu and Rambabu, along with their friends, rushed to the city from Parvathipuram and charged the doctors.

They demanded to know why the kidney should be removed when he came for treatment for fever. After heated arguments, the doctors then planted ureteral stent. The patient heaved a sigh of relief and told reporters that he was happy since his kidney was not removed.
