Ongole: District YSR Congress Party president Balineni Srinivasa Reddy urged his party cadres to be more active and take the Navaratnalu- nine schemes proposed by the party to booth level to win the 2019 elections.

Participating in the Ongole Assembly constituency-level meeting held here on Thursday to motivate party workers, Srinivasa Reddy said the nine jewels like schemes designed by the party high command would help them in wresting power from Telugu Desam Party in the general elections in 2019.

Elaborating on the ‘Navaratnalu’, he said, “We will give a minimum support price and make every farmer happy with the YSR Raitu Bharosa scheme, while the DWCRA women and groups will be provided a revolving fund of Rs. 15,000 crore under YSR Asara scheme. We will increase the pensions from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 2000 to help the old and the disabled.

With the ‘Amma Odi- Pedala Chaduvula Badi’ scheme, we will give stipends to the school and intermediate college students to meet the needs of stationary and cosmetics. With the housing scheme, we will see that every poor family in the State gets a pucca house by constructing five lakh houses every year.

We will bring the lost glory of cashless medical treatment and implement it perfectly to benefit the poor public with the Arogya Sri scheme. Srinivasa Reddy asked the cadres not to get disappointed with the Nandyala election result. He said, “The TDP contested at 17 places in the previous byelections and lost deposits at 10 places. The public feared by the statements of the ruling party that they would remove the pensions and other schemes to them. They spent about Rs. 100 crores for the election and used all powers to win the seat.”
