The number of women in various fields like education, jobs, employment and others has been growing day by day, said Taruni Tarangalu president Dr Raavi Sarada here on Friday.
She was addressing the media persons on the poster launch programme of Taruni Tarangalu (Women Fest) which will be held on February 5 and 6 at PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College Auditorium.
She said talented women in art, education and creativity of any age group can participate in the women festival. About 300 participants had already registered to participate in the events from various places. In all, 18 various academic and cultural programmes, dances and seminars would be held, she added.
The chief guests of the events would be Andhra Pradesh Mahila Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Gadde Anuradha, Police Commissioner Gowtham Sawang and honorary guest VMC Commissioner J Nivas and others.National Archery Champion Jyothi Surekha took part in the poster release event. along with other Taruni Tarangalu members.
