Srikakulam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had failed in addressing the state issues in its last budget, former Union Minister and Congress senior leader Dr Killi Kruparani alleged.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, she demanded the Chief Minister to tender an apology to people of the state and asked the TDP MPs to quit immediately for their failure in getting funds.
She reminded that the Chief Minister had sacrificed the Special Category Status to the state which is having statutory support in the name of special package. Now, the NDA government evaded special package and Special Category Status to the state, she lamented.
Two years ago, all the parties, including Congress, demanded Chandrababu conduct all-party meet on Special Category Status and exert pressure on Centre but at that time he had neglected suggestions, she pointed out.
The NDA government had failed to satisfy all categories of people in society by introducing a worst budget, lamented Congress official spokesperson R Narasimha Murthy. No one was happy with budget in the state, said District Congress Committee (DCC) president Dola Jaganmohan Rao. Congress Party Doctors Cell leader Dr Killi Rammohan Rao and youth wing leader Ch Satish also spoke.
