Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar has directed Guntur District Collector Kona Sasidhar to allot land required for Nadikudi -Srikalahasti railway line works immediately.

Guntur: Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar has directed Guntur District Collector Kona Sasidhar to allot land required for Nadikudi -Srikalahasti railway line works immediately.

He gave the instructions to the Collector during a videoconference from Secretariat on Monday.

Speaking on this occasion, Sasidhar informed that for this railway project, 966.23 acres of land is required.

The land includes private land of 786.54 acres, government land 966.23 acres and forest land 18.46 acres.

He further informed that they had handed over 851 acres of land to the government for this project so far.

The railway line works from Phirangipuram to Savalyapuram have already started.

The Chief Secretary directed to handover the remaining land also as early as possible.

He discussed progress of building construction for All India Institute of Medical Sciences at Mangalagiri town and solve problems for laying approach roads.

Kona Sasidhar replied that they had initiated process to solve problems relating to building construction and roads for the AIIMS. They had focussed on compound wall works.

He also explained land acquisition for Kattipudi-Ongole highway and issued awards for land acquisition.

He said that they had paid 50 per cent of compensation to the land owners and added that they would pay the remaining compensation to the farmers soon and hand over land to the NHAI soon.
