Civic chief inspects GRL building construction
Municipal Corporation (RMC) Commissioner Sumit Kumar Gandhi has directed the engineers to complete the construction of new building of Gowthami Regional Library (GRL) within five months and asked them not to compromise on quality.
Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation (RMC) Commissioner Sumit Kumar Gandhi has directed the engineers to complete the construction of new building of Gowthami Regional Library (GRL) within five months and asked them not to compromise on quality.
He along with engineers inspected the progress of construction work here on Tuesday.
Later, he said the library building was coming up with an estimated cost of Rs 2 crore, and the amount was sanctioned from urban MLA development funds.
The Commissioner asked the engineers to construct the building with good design as GRL has 100 years history.
He asked the engineers to provide latest facilities in the library for the readers. Many readers, mainly research scholars, have been coming from across the state to refer books available in the library, he said.
The RMC Superintending Engineer, Om Prakash, Executive Engineer Satya Kumari, librarian Venkat Rao and others were present.
