4 youths die in road accident in Chittoor district
In a tragic incident, four youth on a motorcycle died after the two-wheeler hit a SUV coming in opposite direction at Illuru near Byreddypalli in Chittoor district, 120 km from here on Friday.
Tirupati: In a tragic incident, four youth on a motorcycle died after the two-wheeler hit a SUV coming in opposite direction at Illuru near Byreddypalli in Chittoor district, 120 km from here on Friday.
According to sources, the SUV was coming from Kuppam to Palamaneru while the four youth were proceeding to Byreddypalli on their motorcycle. The mishap occurred when the two-wheeler lost control and hit the SUV Innova leading to motorcycle catching fire resulting in the death of four instantaneously. Within minutes, the motorcycle was also burnt into ashes.
The deceased were identified as Teja, 23, Kishore,21, Vinodh,21 and Vamsidhar,21, who were all from Byreddypalli and were returning home on the motorcycle after work.
The occupants of SUV who sustained injuries were taken to PES Medical College Hospital, Kuppam. Byreddy police registered a case. On receipt of information, Industries minister N Amaranath Reddy expressed shock and grief over the mishap which claimed four lives. Reddy, who is Nellore in connection with the Dalita Tejam meeting, spoke to Byreddypalli police over the tragic incident.
