Amaravati: TDP will have its NRI – TDP wing in order to mobilie NRI votes, announced party president N Chandrababu Naidu during a public meeting held at New Jersey in United States of America on Monday with the NRI Telugus.

He assured that he will give opportunities to the NRIs if they would render their services at their home towns and birth places. He further claimed that the TDP was the only party in the country working for the NRIs welfare. Stating that the NRIs will get the voting rights from the ensuing general elections, Chandrababu Naidu urged them to work for TDP during 2019.

He further said that NRI Telugus worked for the TDP during 2014 general elections. In this meeting, all the TDP followers in USA participated and interacted with the Chief Minister.

Before commencing his speech, Naidu paid tributes to the departed TDP MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao and another leader Siveri Soma. Assuring development of AP and growth for the NRIs in the State, Naidu said that he would make the State as most liveable and most favourable for NRI investments.

He asked the NRIs to help their respective villages and towns by providing development assistance. He said that Grama Darsini- Ward Darsini would be a good platform for them to develop their villages.

Wishing them to achieve highest goals, Chief Minister said that plenty of opportunities were available for them both in AP and America. Naidu vowed to make AP the best State in the country. The State would have all facilities on par with US, he said.

Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that he felt like being in Amaravati but not in America, after seeing the overwhelming response from the TDP followers in USA.

MP CM Ramesh, MLA Varadapuram Suri, AP Special Representative Komati Jayaram, AP NRT representatives Vemuri Ravikumar, Buchi Ramprasad, TDP NRI leaders Mannava Mohan Krishna, Vemana Sateesh, Guthikonda Srinivas, film actress Laya and others participated.
