Aishwarya, Sonam, Mallika to be seen at Cannes 2014

The Cannes International Film Festival is possibly among the most prestigious of international film festivals, spotting faces like Diane Kruger, Brad Pitt and Aishwarya Rai in its crowds regularly.

And now, it’s that time of the year again: when the best among every’s country film and fashion community put their creative foot forward and step on to the red carpet. Filmmakers, actors, critics and forecasters will all be flying to France, and they’ll be joined by Aishwarya Rai, Sonam Kapoor and Mallika Sherawat who will be representing India.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has always been India’s favourite export to the Cannes, ever since her debut in 2002, with Devdas. She’s been a member of the jury and even the Indian face of a French cosmetic brand – her ensembles always garnering her international media interest (not always in a good way).

Sonam Kapoor’s third visit to the red carpet holds a surprise she says, deciding not to reveal anything about her look. Her last appearance on the carpet in 2013 got a mixed reaction, some admiring her large nose ring and dakr lipstick, others lashing out at it.

Mallika Sherawat is going to join the entourage too, and the dazzling beauty will be inaugurating the Indian Pavillion at the festival.
