Has The Xpose Ripped Off The Great Gatsby With It\'s Movie Poster? The poster of The Xpose starring Himesh Reshammiya and Yo Yo Honey Singh bears an uncanny resemblance to Hollywood’s The Great Gatsby poster which has Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role.
The poster of The Xpose starring Himesh Reshammiya and Yo Yo Honey Singh bears an uncanny resemblance to Hollywood’s The Great Gatsby poster which has Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role.
Both posters introduce the actors in a block style with a black and yellow-golden background. It might just be a strange coincidence, even though The Great Gatsby was an international hit. But it could also be lack of originality on the part of the filmmaker’s, a laid-back attitude or a publicity stunt.
Whatever it is, the resemblance cannot be denied, and once again raises the question of how far resemblance can go in the name of inspiration in Bollywood.
The Xpose in is set in the 1960s, the plot deals with the mysterious death of a film star who is a sensational sex symbol. Himesh is said to be playing a cop-turned-star, and Honey Singh is playing the villain. Irfan Khan also has a special appearance in the film. Produced by Vipin Reshammiya and directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, the film is all set to release on May 23rd, 2014.
