Srivass to direct Charan

After taking some time off post ‘Govindudu Andarivadele’, actor Ram Charan is ready to take his next on to the floors; and has already chosen director Srivass over Sreenu Vaitla. The actor, we are told, was impressed with the way Srivass handled ‘Loukyam’ though he was working on a tight schedule and budget

Usually a star hero’s dates are packed for the year but it wasn’t the case with Ram Charan, up until now. After putting his proposed project with director Sreenu Vaitla on hold, the actor has taken it easy for a month and has been spending time with family. However, the actor is now ready to get back to action with his next project. In this regard, he has nodded his head for a director who isn’t as experienced as say a Sreenu Vaitla is. Yes, according to a source close to the actor, director Srivass, who has proven his mettle with Gopichand-starrer ‘Loukyam’, has got a green signal from Cherry.

Points out the source, “Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan have written a script keeping Charan in mind. Though Charan liked it, he wanted an able director to helm it. And when Kona proposed the name of Srivass, the actor took some time.

It was only after the writer ace explained the way Srivass filmed ‘Loukyam’ on time and his command over comedy that Charan agreed. Moreover, the actor is not someone who will run after directors. He gives the script utmost importance.”

The source adds, “It will be a typical Kona and Gopi script where the emphasis will be on entertainment. In all likelihood it will be produced by DVV Danayya who was supposed to produce Charan and Vaitla’s project. The script is being fine tuned right now and Charan will be presented in a new look.”
