In what could be her first break-through film, Monali Rathod is ecstatic about her under-shoot project, a sequel to ‘Ladies Taylor’ (1986). Talking about her role, she says, “I play an innocent and a traditional girl, daughter of a zamindar. There’s an emotional side to me as well and I fall for the protagonist (Sumanth Ashwin). I’ll be seen sporting sarees for the first time on-screen.”

The actress says that working with veteran filmmaker Vamsy is a learning experience. “He’s a cool director, and doesn’t waste much time on the sets discussing. I have learnt things like diction, when to give pauses and other things. He is very creative, and doesn’t need any lavish sets to shoot scenes. He can make the frame look beautiful in the natural setting. Of course, he has the uncanny knack of projecting his leading ladies at their best in sarees.”
