Cancel rented buses, demands RTC staff
The representatives of Telangana State Road Transport and Corporation Staff and Workers Federation (TSRTCSWF) staged a dharna in front of Khammam bus depot here on Wednesday, demanding the government to buy new buses for RTC by cancelling the rented buses.Â

President of RTCSWF Khammam depot committee T Babu said that the government must lower the rates of petrol and diesel immediately as their prices have been decreased in the international market. He also demanded the government allotment of Rs 500 crore in the budget for RTC as per the promise made during the time of wage agreement.
Their other demands include removal of driver-cum-conductor system, payment of pending bills and providing minimum facilities in the garage of bus depots. RTCSWF leaders Srinivas Rao, Ranga Rama Rao, Upendar, S Ramu, Shiva Maruthi and Sunitha were present along with others in the dharna.
