​Hanamkonda: The member of National Board of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NBMSME) Meesala Chandraiah has warned that he would complain to the Centre about local district officials over their failure to promote and attend Modi Fest-2017.

He said the programme was being held under the aegis of central information and broadcasting department. It was meant to explain the public about the central welfare schemes aimed at the benefit of poorer and downtrodden sections in the country.

The district officials were directed by the Centre to play key role in the programme. But none of the officials turned up at the event, he said speaking after launching Modi Fest at Public Gardens in Hanamkonda on Friday.

He alleged that the TRS government was trying to dilute the central schemes by not promoting them. Now the government officials were also following the suite. “The issue would be taken to the notice of the Centre and a report would be submitted,” Chandraiah, the BJP Warangal party district in-charge, said.

The party state executive member G Yadagiri, leaders Rao Amarender Reddy, K Santhosh Reddy, S Jagadishwar, Mandala Suresh, P Rajendra Prasad and others were present.

Later on the day, a review meeting was held on ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Vistarak Yojana’, which was taken up in 832 polling booths in Warangal Urban district to strengthen the party at booth level and to propagate central welfare schemes.
