​Sircilla: IT Minister K T Rama Rao launched the Telangana State Formation Day celebrations on a grand note by paying rich tributes to the statue of Telangana Martyrs here at bus stand in Sircilla on Friday.
Hoisting the flag at Police Parade Grounds, K T Rama Rao said that the TRS government is striving hard for the development of all sections of people in the State by introducing various types of welfare schemes by investing about Rs 40,000 crores.
As many as 38 lakh people across the State are receiving Aasara pensions. Schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak, 2BHK houses, fine rice to students, residential schools and special funds for SCs and STs have been introduced for the wellbeing of the people, he said.
Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, TS-I pass, waiving of farm loans, development of temples, improving medical facilities to provide better health services to the people along with Arogya Lakshmi and distribution of KCR Kits have also introduced, he added.
The government is determined for uplifting the textile industry in the State by providing 50 per cent subsidy along with providing required raw materials. From every constituency, railway lines will be laid connecting Hyderabad for public convenience.
Harithaharam program targets to plant as many as 230 cr of saplings to expand greenery and attract more rains for better farm production and complete irrigation projects on time, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR reiterated that the State government is number one in India in welfare sector by spending a whopping Rs 40000 crore. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has great vision and making efforts for all round development and inclusive growth.
He also cited that the rural population who used to migrate to other states for livelihood are beating a retreat as lakes and water bodies are being revived in a big way by implementing Mission Kakatiya. He said that fisheries scheme, sheep rearing will completely change the rural economy as they will boost their previous professions of caste and communities.
KCR also planning to offer modern saloons to barbers, washing machines for Dhobhis are some new schemes to be launched for their well being he said.
Power problem was addressed on time and the government is able to provide 9 hour power to farm sector which will be increased to some extent soon.
All those people, who strived hard and participated in various movements for achieving separate State for Telangana, with the same spirit, should involve the developmental activities and must cooperate in creating Bangaru Telangana, the dream of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the IT Minister urged the people.
Later, the Minister handed over awards to the persons belonging to various fields, who discharged their duties perfectly and who provided better services.
Cultural activities performed on the occasion by the students of various schools in traditional attire attracted many.
District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar, District Superintendent of Police Viswajeeth, TESCOB Chairman Konduri Ravinder Rao, Vemulawada MLA Chennamneni Ramesh Babu, Joint Collector Yasmine Basha and District Revenue Officer Shyam Lal Prasad were present along with others.
