Telangana No 1 in implementing govt schemes: Padma Rao
Excise Minister K Padma Rao said the Telangana State was on top position in the country when it came to implementing various schemes. On Friday, he attended as chief guest to the Telangana State Formation Day celebrations held at Pragathi Maidan. Earlier, the Minister hoisted the national flag after receiving the guard of honour.

He said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao always works for the betterment of poor. “The Telangana State has seen good growth in the financial year of 2016-17. So far, the government has implemented 35 schemes for people. KCR thought the development would be achieved only through small districts, therefore he established small districts,” he said.
On the occasion, the government has introduced new schemes for pregnant and for single women, he said. The Minister observed that the Chief Minister was a good administrator. “Mission Baghiratha and Mission Kakatiya are the best schemes in the world,” he said, informing that the tap connections for every house would be completed before December. Later, he visited various stalls put up by various departments at Pragati Maidan.
Earlier, the Minister garlanded the Telangana Thalli statue. District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu, Joint Collector M Ramkishan,DRDA PD Jagathkumar Reddy, Kothagudem MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao and other district officials were present.
