A team of artists staged a dark comedy play ‘Mandir Mein Hadtal’ here recently. The play has a message that touches all aspects of life and makes us all think about our version of God.
Jubilee Hills: A team of artists staged a dark comedy play ‘Mandir Mein Hadtal’ here recently. The play has a message that touches all aspects of life and makes us all think about our version of God.
Informing about the play Sudhir Rout, an actor, said that there are 14 characters in the play, that are picked from daily lives. The play showcases their encounter with God, that comes alive to check their perspective of being God when God decides to live like a common man.
The play was designed and directed by Subhash Gupta.“The main aim of the play is to show people that we mortals often turn to God only to obtain the impossible. He is so bored, tired and sick of the rituals, century after century. He also wants change. He wants to come out of the dark corner of the temple and live like an ordinary being,” Subhash shared.
