3 critically hurt as two cars collide
Three people suffered grievous injuries when a car rammed another car on the National Highway near Pedda Kaparthy village under Chityal mandal of Nalgonda district on Wednesday morning. Due to the impact, the Innova vehicle involved in the mishap was totally destroyed. The injured were identified as Swathi (25), Rajesh (35) and Nageshwar Rao (50), of Vijayawada.

Due to the impact, the Innova vehicle involved in the mishap was totally destroyed. The injured were identified as Swathi (25), Rajesh (35) and Nageshwar Rao (50), of Vijayawada.
According to the police, when a Bolero vehicle was taking a U-turn at the Food Corporation of India (FCI) godown near Pedda Kaparthy, the ill-fated Innova rammed it from behind. Due to the impact, both the cars fell into the roadside pit. Soon, the Innova car caught fire due to short circuit. Upon receiving information, fire services personnel rushed to the spot and put out the fire. The injured were shifted to Kamineni Hospital at Narketpally by 108 ambulance services.
