Hyderabad: Domestic passengers boarding flights from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, will now be able to virtually walk in through the security check as the country’s first Express Security Check would become operational from Friday.

The new facility will come in handy for passengers travelling without check-in baggage. "Majority of frequent flyers travelling through the airport don't carry check-in baggage. They carry just hand baggage.

We are launching the Express Security Check Facility to help them clear the security check faster," an airport official said. This facility is being launched by GMR Group.

OP Singh, Director-General, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), will inaugurate the new facility on Friday.

SGK Kishore, Chief Executive Officer, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd, will also take part in the inaugural event.
