West Godavari district Collector call to educate all
Eluru: West Godavari district Collector R Muthyala Raju directed the adult education deputy director YVS Suryanarayana to effectively implement primary education to all illiterate persons in the district. He released results of the primary literacy examination (open school) conducted recently.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that literacy programmes should be organised for illiterate labourers, self-help group members and others. He informed that out of total 1,11,830 candidates who attended the primary literacy examination at 1,436 centres in the district on February 17, as many as 82,060 candidates passed the exam.
For those who failed in the examination and other illiterate persons special literacy programme should be organised to ensure their success at the exam again, he directed.
