Allocate more funds for completion of pending irrigation projects-AP Rythu Sangam

Kadapa: The round table meeting of various farmers associations headed by AP Rythu Sangam held here on Tuesday has requested chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to ensure for allocating more funds in the current budget which is being introduced on 11th July in interest of completing all pending irrigation projects in the district. The meeting also demanded MLA's of the district to bring the issue to the notice of the chief minister by raising it in the budget sessions see allocating more funds.

Speaking the occasion AP Rythu Sangam state vice president B.Narayana said that injustice is being made to the Rayalaseema districts related to completion of irrigation projects for several decades due to political discrimination. AP Rythu Sangam district secreatary B.Dastagiri Reddy has urged the farmers to join in the movement to pressurize the government for completion of pending irrigation in the district.

He said after YSR congress emerged to power there was hope in the farmers that being as native of Kadapa district Jagan Mohan Reddy will take initiative completion of irrigation projects Galeru Nagari Sujala Sravanthi(GNSS), Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi(HNSS) Telugu Ganga Project etc as early as possible. AP Rythu Sangam district secretary B.Dastagiri Reddy, M.Chandra Mouleswara Reddy(Saguneeti Samithi), V.Manosai Reddy(Rythu Jagruthi sangam), R.Siva Reddy(Rythu Swarajya vedika) and others were present.
