Alluri a highly inspiring leader, says municipal chief

Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner of Municipal Corporation NVV Satyanarayana Rao has said that everyone should get inspiration from the great freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju who sacrificed his life for the country.

Paying floral tributes to Alluri Sitarama Raju at Ganesh Chowk in connection with his 95th death anniversary held here on Tuesday, he said the nation would never forget the services of Alluri Sitarama Raju rendered to get freedom to the country. He studied up to 6th class and sacrificed his life at the age of 27. Sitarama Raju fought against British along with tribals to get freedom to the country.

Setting aside his family, he plunged into independence movement and finally lost his life. He is a glaring example for dareness, commitment and dedication towardsany work. Though he was killed in the hands of Briish rulers, he is still alive in the hearts of the people, he said. He underlined the need to educate students about his life and his sacrifices.
