Amma Vodi to benefit 3.98 lakh students: HM

Nellore: The Home Minister and District In-Charge Minister Mekathoti Sucharita said that 3.98 lakh students from the district are going to benefit under Amma Vodi scheme this year. The amount is going to be disbursed from next January, she added. The Minister participated in the Independence Day celebrations here on Thursday and unfurled the national flag at Police Parade Grounds.

District Collector MV Seshagiri Babu, SP Aishwarya Rastogi and other officials were also present. Sucharitha said that, as assured, the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is implementing Amma Vodi scheme from this year and the first instalment of Rs 15,000 is going to be handed over from January next year.
