Andhra Bank holds customers meet in Ongole

Ongole: The Andhra Bank Ongole zone organised customers meet in the conference hall of Ongole branch on Tuesday. The Ongole zone DGM P Ramakrishna answered all the queries from the customers and announced that the Andhra Bank has earned Rs 52 crore as profit in the last quarter.

He said that in Prakasam district, the bank is operating 58 branches and 75 ATMs to record annual turnover of Rs 5,609.47 crore. In them, he said that they are disbursing Rs 3,239.22 crore as loans including Rs 324.89 crore to self-help groups, Rs 1,710. 23 crore to agriculture, Rs 63.57 crore to education, Rs 302. 06 crore to housing and Rs 879 crore to MSME industries, and collected Rs 2,370.25 crores as deposits.

He announced that the bank is reducing interest rates on housing and education loans from August 16, as they are reducing 25 basic points on base rate. The DGM also said that the Andhra Bank is involved in helping all communities with a bouquet of schemes and programmes to include them in the development of the society.

Assistant general managers P Simhachalam and N Ganesh and other bankers also participated in the programme.
