Art Conclave to begin in Rajam today in Visakhapatnam

Artists from abroad and India gathered at poster launch event of International Art Conclave 2019 in Visakhapatnam on Saturday

Visakhapatnam: Artists from St Petersburg, Russia and Iran arrived in the city on Saturday to showcase their contemporary artwork at International Art Conclave 2019, which will be held in Rajam from Sunday to October 6.

Interestingly, within no-time some artists were fascinated with the sculpture of Indian temples and statues. "I am smitten by the sculptures in India. The artwork is very intense, intrinsic and does have a depth," says Anna Sosenskaia, a sculpturist from St Petersberg at the poster launch held in the city on Saturday.

The International Art Conclave 2019 is being organised by Trupthi Resorts. Addressing the gathering, head of Trupthi Resorts P V G Krishnam Raju said, "We have invited artists from abroad and renowned artists from various places like Hyderabad, Delhi, Ahmadabad to exhibit their artworks. Moreover, necessities required by the artists will be provided by our team."

AU Art Department Prof Ramesh said, "Artists have no borders and the art culture in Andhra Pradesh is not like before, it needs more recognition." MP M V V Satyanarayana released a poster on the occasion.
