As farmers throng, RBS launch venues wear festive look: Deputy CM Amzath Basha

Kadapa: Festive look prevailed in Chief Minister's native Kadapa district as farmers in big numbers thronged to the launching venues of Rythu Bharosa Scheme and Prime Minister Kisan Yojana on Tuesday.

MLAs and MPs participated in the event along with local leaders in constituencies. A sum of Rs 193.56 crore was given to 2,43,529 farmers. In addition, 1,578 tenant farmers got Rs1.81crores under the scheme.

Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha launched the scheme along with Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy at Telugu Ganga Colony in Mydukuru . He said that though government has been facing financial problems, it is implementing Rythu Bharosa Scheme as 60 percent of people depend on agriculture.

He said that after the regime of Y S Rajasekar Reddy, farming sector was totally neglected by the previous TDP government. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken steps to provide financial support and infrastructure facilities to the farming sector. He said as per the Navaratnalu scheme power is being supplied for 9 hours to the 60 percent of farmers under feeder channels. He said that government has sanctioned Rs 1.500 crores for repairs of 40 percent feeder channels.

Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy said that Chief Minister has decided to lay foundation stone for Joladarasi, Rajoly anicuts and tenders will be called SR-1, SR-2 works of Brahmam Sagar within 30 days.

District Collector Ch.Harikiran said Cattle Insurance scheme is being implemented from August 15. He urged the farmers to avail the scheme. Mydukuru MLA S Raghurami Reddy trainee collector Vasnupur, and others were present.
