Beware of fraudsters in online transactions: SP warns people

But there are chances that fraudsters cheat the customers. Some time ago, a resident of Yemmiganoor was cheated by a cyber cheat. The cheater was arrested in Madhya Pradesh. Recently another resident of Adoni has placed order for sun glass from Club Factory. The company has delivered the article, but they are in a broken state. The consumer immediately called customer care after searching mobile number through google.
The voice on the other end has asked about the problem and assured to pay back the amount but asked to give his google pay or phone pay account so that they can send amount to the account. Believing the voice, the consumer installed phone pe through UPI app and informed the customer care. After a while the customer care forwarded a link and the consumer unaware of the link clicked on it.
The cyber fraudster taking the advantage has withdrawn Rs.75,000 from the consumer's SBI account through Any Desk remote control App, said Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli. He alerted the people under any circumstance do not click the link sent through UPI transaction. He asked he people to call police on 9121211100 police whatsapp.
