Kurnool cops to step up vigil at religious places
Kurnool: Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli has directed the police personnel to keep strict vigil on Hindu temples across the district. He instructed his staff to intensity vigil during night hours. The SP visited lower and upper Ahobilam temples on Friday and had the darshan of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. After offering prayers, the temple priests have offered teertha prasadams to the Superintendent of Police.
Later speaking on the occasion, the SP said the temple staff must work with coordination. He inspected the functioning of closed-circuit cameras (CC) and the temple chariot. He ordered to ensure good lighting and engage adequate number of security guards.
He further said the committee members of the concerned temples, churches and mosques have to suggest measures for installing closed circuit cameras. He suggested the people to dial 100 and inform about the suspicious persons loitering in their areas. He said all precautionary measures were taken to ensure no untoward incidents takes place at places of worship.
The SP said to infuse awareness among the village heads, village rakshaks, temple committee organisers, pastors, mouzams and archakas have to create awareness regarding safeguarding the temples and its properties.
