Chief Minister pays tributes to ex-Minister Balireddy Satya Rao

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy paying last respects to the mortal remains of former Minister Balireddy Satya Rao in Visakhapatnam on Saturday. The ex-Minister died in a road accident on Friday.

Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday visited the residence of ex-Minister Balireddy Satya Rao, who died in a road accident on Friday evening, and paid last respects to the departed soul.

The 80-plus former Minister was hit by a two-wheeler while crossing the road at RK Beach. Later, he passed away while undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

The Chief Minister, who arrived in the morning, went to the residence of the former Minister at Maharanipeta and consoled his family members.

Recalling Satya Rao's significant contribution to the party and society, Jagan Mohan Reddy said the death of Satya Rao was an irreplaceable loss to the party and to the people of Chodavaram constituency. He said the unconditional service rendered by the former minister will be etched in the memory of people forever.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Rajya Sabha member V Vijaya Sai Reddy, VMRDA Chairman Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao and others. Earlier, Jagan Mohan Reddy was received at Visakhapatnam airport by District Collector V Vinay Chand and Commissioner of Police RK Meena, among other officials.

Minister for Urban Development Botcha Satyanarayana, Tourism Minister M Srinivasa Rao, Roads and Buildigns Minister Dharmana Krishna Das, MP MVV Satyanarayana, and MLA Tippala Nagi Reddy, were among those who paid last respects to the departed leader at his residence.
