Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Chairs Review Meeting On Heavy Rains In the State

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy held a review in the wake of heavy rains in the state. He also discussed with the authorities about crop damage and property damage due to storms. Officials were instructed to prepare and send estimates immediately in vie of crop damage or property damage. He also advised the authorities to remain vigilant.

Minister of Irrigation Anil Kumar Yadav also held a review on the floods in the state. At the irrigation workshop in Vijayawada, he spoke to all the districts' irrigation officials via video conference. He investigated the current situation in the state's reservoirs and ordered officers to set up ring bands at ponds and rivers.

Heavy rains in many parts of the state have been reported. Roads were damaged in some places, and traffic was disrupted. On the other hand, the areas of Chancharlapadu and Kanchikachar along the banks of the river have been flooded. Cotton and chilli crops are prolific in many areas. The authorities have taken precautionary measures on the banks of the river.
