Deekshitulu remembered

Vijayawada: Journalists and non-journalists paid rich tributes to former Andhra Pradesh Press Academy chairman and former editor of Andhra Prabha Vasudeva Deekshitulu, who passed away at Hyderabad recently. Former editor Raghavachari on Thursday recollected Deekshitulu's days as sub-editor in Andhra Prabha in Vijayawada and his gradual elevation as editor of the newspaper.

"He will be known for introducing several special features and supplements for the benefit of the readers. He will be remembered for his love for the usage of proper language".

Senior journalist Mutyala Prasad, Andhra Pradesh Union for Working Journalists (APUWJ) president I V Subba Rao, Andhra Prabha and Indian Express Employees Union president Ch Mohan Rao, IJU vice-president Ambati Anjaneyulu, IJU national executive committee member Somasundar and others hailed Deekshitulu's role as a journalist.
