Deputy Chief Minister stops convoy to help accident victims
Eluru: Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani acted as a Good Samaritan when he witnessed an accident on road while he was on the way to Assembly on Friday. He won the hearts of the victims by giving them prompt first aid followed by corporate hospital treatment.
Nani was travelling in his car from Eluru to Amaravati en route Vijayawada. On his way he witnessed an accident where three persons with bleeding injuries on road crying for help. He immediately stopped his convoy and went to the accident spot and ordered his staff to ensure first aid to the victims before rushing them to a near-by Manipal Hospital.
The Deputy CM offered his car for the victims to shift them to the hospital.While two of the victims were sent home after treatment immediately, another was admitted as in-patient for better treatment. The timely help of Nani proved beneficial for the victim in getting speedy treatment.
The victim belongs to Venkatayapalem. Nani was appreciated by the onlookers and others for not ignoring the accident victims but helping them get good treatment. Later, he visited the hospital and consoled the in-patient and handed over Rs 10,000 from him.
