Women hail Deputy CM for shifting liquor shop in Eluru

Eluru: Scores of women from Marakavariveedhi in Phattebada here heaped praises on Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani by personally meeting him at his camp office here for shifting the location of a liquor shop to another area.

A large group of women from the area thanked Nani for acting swiftly and instructing the officials not to allow liquor shop in their area as it would spoil the ambience of the locality and saves their families from alcoholism.

They also complimented the Deputy Chief Minister for removing belt shops which benefited a lot their families as they are living in peace now without boozers in their families.

The women said they would always support Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is committed to prohibition in a phased manner. The elated women told Nani that the day was a festival day in their families as they get rid of the liquor demon.

Speaking on the occasion, Nani said the government would respect people's sentiments and already banned belt shops and would not allow liquor shops in the residential areas, places of worship and educational institutions.
