Dy CM Pilli says law will take its own course on Thota

Rajamahendravaram: The skirmishes between Deputy Chief Minister Pilli Subash Chandra Bose and Ramachandrapuram former MLA Thota Trimurthulu who joined YSRCP recently came to the fore again with the comments made by Pilli Subash Chandra Bose at Draksharama which created sensation in the party circles.

The Deputy Chief Minister told the leaders of the Scheduled Caste community that Thota Trimurthulu was his rival in the past, present and in future also, when they stopped

his convoy at Draksharama raising slogans against Thota Trimurthulu and questioned the deputy chief minister how they allowed the entry of Thota Trimurthulu into the party who was an accused in a tonsuring case of SCs.

They also said they cannot spare, if the government not taken action against Thota Trimurthulu who joined in YSRCP and said that the party has to face the consequences.

Later, the deputy chief minister said though he joined in the party, the Stte government will act as per law and there was no exemption in this regard to anyone.

He also assured to take the leaders of SCs to Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy in this regard and asked him to give the details of the leaders who would meet the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister took the decision to admit Thota Trimurthulu into the party and "We cannot oppose this," he averred. Nearly a decade ago, a dozen SCs of Venkatayapalem were tonsured when Thota Trimurthulu was TDP MLA of Ramachandrapuram which created sensation across the State and the case is still in pending and from then SCs are opposing Thota Trimurthulu. Later, Trimurthlu shifted to Praja Rajyam Party and again to TDP.

After coming into power, YSRCP government issued directions to respective revenue officials to issue caste certificates to the victims, which was kept in pending from many years.

With the developments taking place, Thota Trimurthulu joined in YSRCP with the help of some leaders and the party cadre and leaders are waiting to see what will happen in the party with the comments of deputy chief minister Pilli Subash Chandra Bose.
