Eluru: NPR training for civic chiefs on March 6, 7

Eluru: National Population Register (NPR) exercise will begin in the State with a two-day training to be given to Municipal Commissioners and Tahsildars on March 6 and 7. S Satyanarayana, director of AP Census and Citizen Registration, convened a videoconference with Joint Collectors and District Revenue Officers of the 13 districts from Hyderabad on Wednesday and reviewed Census- 2021.

Speaking on the occasion, Joint Collector K Venkataramana Reddy assured the Director to complete the exercise as per schedule in the district.

After imparting training to municipal commissioners and Tahsidlars, they would in turn train supervisors and enumerators at municipal and mandal level respectively.

Director Satyanarayana said that teachers and state government employees would collect data from the people. A questionnaire with 34 questions has been prepared for the purpose, he disclosed.
