Fill Village Secretariat jobs with contract staff

Chittoor: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as an Opposition leader had promised to regularise services of contract and outsourcing employees after coming to power. Now, the Chief Minister terminating the contract and outsourcing employees in a phased manner by recruiting the new candidates, alleged AP State Government Contract and Outsourcing Employees' Federation President AV Nageswara Rao.

The CITU, AITUC, CPI and CPM have staged a dharna at the Collectorate here on Saturday. Rao stated that they are not opposing recruitment of staff for the Village Secretariats. "The State government has to provide job security to contract and outsourcing employees," he demanded.

The Federation leader asked the government to fill Village Secretariat jobs with contract and outsourcing employees. CITU district president P Chaitanya has warned the government of launching an indefinite agitation if contract or outsourcing employees are removed from jobs. Later, they submitted a memorandum to District Collector N Bharat Gupta.
