Follow traffic rules to prevent road accidents: SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi

Kakinada: District Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Asmi has said that road accident deaths have decreased during the last one year in East Godavari district. A meeting was held to mark World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims at SP office here on Sunday.

The Superintendent of Police said that under the directions of DGP Gautam Sawang, the remembrance day programme was conducted. He instructed the station house officers to cooperate in matters such as victims' insurance and case investigation. Traffic regulations must be followed to prevent road accidents, he added.

Later, the Superintendent of Police presented Rs 2,000 as financial assistance to 15 deceased families. He greeted traffic Sub-Inspector of Police P Muralikrishna Reddy and other police personnel on the occasion.
