Govt to give priority to Veligonda after Polavaram
Markapur: Education Minister Dr Adimulapu Suresh said that the State government was giving priority to the Veligonda project, as an important project after Polavaram. He announced that the government was about to introduce a program, Mana Badi- Mana Badhyatha (Our School- Our Responsibility) in all government schools soon.
Participating in meet-the-press programme in Markapuram on Tuesday, Suresh assured that the government was going to provide required infrastructure like drinking water, bathrooms, fencing wall, blackboards, etc., under the program, Mana Badi- Mana Badhyata program.
He said that the chief minister is giving the most importance to education and announced that the government will conduct DSC every year to fill the vacancies. He said that reverse tendering would be introduced in the Education department also to save crores of public money from wastage.
He said that the government gives priority to Veligonda also and informed that the District Collector submitted proposals for Rs 1500 crores for the rehabilitation and resettlement package to the ousters under the project.
