Hike village, ward volunteer pay to 10,000: BJP Leader P V N Madhav

Visakhapatnam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken several historic decisions, BJP MLC P V N Madhav said here on Tuesday.

Briefing the media, he said Modi was taking decisions keeping national security in view. Speaking about funds released by the Union government, the MLC said the 14th Finance Commission grant was given directly to the Andhra Pradesh government.

Madhav said party will organise meetings with various groups in the coming days. He announced setting up of WhatsApp groups to conduct the programmes. He mentioned that on June 22, the BJP will hold a Democratic Revival meet.

Former MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju said the BJP was keen on doing justice for all. He demanded that the State government pay a minimum salary of Rs 10,000 for volunteers instead of Rs 5,000 which is considered very nominal for the kind of service they render.

Speaking on the issue of land grabbing, he alleged that two acres of land under survey number 13/3 was illegally occupied at Madhavadhara. He demanded that Ministers and YSRCP MPs take necessary action against them.
