It's not appropriate totarget Opposition : BJP MLC P V N Madhav
Visakhapatnam: BJP MLC P V N Madhav said the State government is targeting on the Opposition party for forwarding objectionable content on social media.
Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday, the MLC said it was not right to ignore the ruling party activists' posts on social media and focus only on the Opposition party leaders. "Even the ruling party activists are resorting to posting baseless remarks on social media platforms. However, they get away with it," he pointed out.
About the brewing controversy over the meeting of AP State Election Commissioner N Ramesh Kumar, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Y S Chowdary and other BJP leader Kamineni Srinivasa Rao at a hotel, he said the YSRCP leaders were unnecessarily terming it as 'secret' meeting and making a hue and cry over it.
The BJP MLC said there was no need to view their meet with a magnifying glass and added that both Sujana Chowdary and Srinivasa Rao have clarified that it was a casual meeting and there's nothing to allege.
BJP city president Ravindra Reddy participated in the meeting that also focused on the ensuing '2020 Intellectual conference' on Aatma Nirbhar Bharat and virtual rally for MSMEs, IT and start-ups scheduled on June 30.
