Jyotirao Phule ideals worth emulate: Collector R Muthyala Raju

Eluru: Social reformer Jyotirao Phule's ideals are worth to follow by all, said Collector R Muthyala Raju. The District Collector along with Joint Collector M Venugopal Reddy, Joint Collector-II N Tej Bharat and other officials paid floral tributes to Phule on his 129th death anniversary here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector reminded that Phule had admired by people as Mahatma much before the Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, for his relentless fight against caste system and with his efforts for uplift of women. It was Phule who strived hard for education of women and set up first school for educating girls and women in the country.
