Kakinada Government General Hospital sanitary workers demand minimum wages
Kakinada: The contract basis sanitary workers in Kakinada Government General Hospital (KGGH) demanded that the authorities improve working conditions and implement minimum wages. In a representation to KGGH superintendent, the representatives of the workers union on Thursday sought release of their pending salaries and implementation of Rs 18,000 per month as wages.
The workers in their representation quoted that in total 225 staff have been extending services for the last 18 years in KGGH without even getting minimum wages. They appealed to the state government to implement the promised minimum wages of Rs 18,000 per month. Workers union representatives P Veerababu and others submitted the representation to superintendent Dr M Raghavendra Rao.
